Rich has lived his whole life in St. Louis. He grew up in Fenton and went to John F. Kennedy H.S. He worked to pay his way through college and law school. Both of his parents were union members. His father was an auto mechanic/technician and his mother was a grocery clerk. He appreciates the benefits that labor unions obtain for families through collective bargaining agreements. As a young boy, Rich walked the picket lines with his dad during the 1970's. He understands how tight money can be for most families. He fights to help families through difficult financial times when their income earners are injured and unable to work because of the dangerous actions of others.
